Ive recently put a decat up/down pipe on my MY01 and have noticed the turbo whistling when spooling up-i thought this was normal,but ive just been reading a thread saying that a turbo that is whistling could be on its way out.

Mine is building boost fine--im just after any thoughts on this.

Nah, can't honestly say that the turbo ain't knackered but the increase in turbo whistle is normal.

just got the same done to MY01 .... lots of extra noise from Turbo .. was worried at first but all appears AOK ..

 

Mine's been whistling for 3 years and 45000 miles with no problem since decating up and down pipes.

 

Did the change to the TD05 require a remap??????????
