Unhappy Subaru Assistance To The Rescue

Got back from a week away and couldn't move the scoob. When I went to move off, the car wouldn't budge. Turns out the nsr wheel was seized. Called Subaru Assistance. 20 minutes later a recovery guy turns up with a flat bed. Said he thought it might be a jammed handbrake shoe and tried fiddling with it, but to no avail. So he loaded on the truck, with the aid of some skates, and took it round to my mechanic, AnG Services in Park Royal.

Got a call the next day to say it was indeed the handbrake shoes, and that it had been sorted. Result Minimal costs involved, and the car was back on the road.

Not a common fault, according to the mechanic. Very impressed with Subaru Assistance, too. Well worth the money.

I've only used them once and was very impressed. They got my business for another year.

Thumbs up

I was very impressed with them and their contracted recovery company yesterday. After my P1's gearbox died I called these folks up. Dealt with it all very well Suspecting I was in for a long wait I wandered to a local shop, bought a paper and sandwich and as I was walking back to the car the recovery guy rang me to say he was in the village and which road was I on? Breakdown to recovery in under an hour.

Money well spent

Cool

On a slightly different note, I also found out that the tracking system works. Got a call within 5 mins and they were spot on with my location. Impressed, again.

Hi Richard,

How's it going? The eatery just isn't the same without you!

I've noticed that since I had the OZ P1 wheels fitted, the back wheels have started to seize up if the car has been parked for more than four days! Is this something to do with the new wheels or do you think I should get it checked out?

Mark.

Mark,

How's it going? Glad to hear you're still in the scoob.

When you say seize up, how bad is it? How do you get it moving? With mine the wheel wouldn't budge even when i tried putting a little more power down. Just ended up straining the clutch. If in doubt, take it round to Angie. Prob better to get it checked out than to play guessing games as to what it might be.

If you're around tomorrow afternoon then we could get together for a coffee?

Give me a call on 07956 648 461 if you're up for it. If not, then text me your number so I can give you a call the next time some of us local boys get together.

Cheers,
Rich.

I found their service to be poor when I had to get them involved.

After a couple of complaints, I recieved a letter of explanation, it hardly helped put my mind at rest and I sincerly hope I don't have to call them again.
