Question

Having tried the ECU reset found on MRT's site, by firstly connecting the black connectors and reading the fault - then by connecting the green (keep the black connected) - depress accelerator release half way for two seconds.

The code keeps showing and will not clear even after driving for a few minutes.

The code showing is 42 Idle valve. This is confusing as I don't have any problems with the car idling. Surely the car would idle wrong if the sensor was giving incorrect readings.

Anyone with good code, ecu knowledge be able to give any info?

Regards

Johny

either your not clearing it right try disconnecting the batt over night or there is a problem with the idle solenoid that keeps throwing the light back up

scoobyboy,

Cheers for the advice. I'm going to try the reset again & also clean the contacts of the idle sensor later today to see can I get a result.
