Just another case of an a***hole with more money than sense, no reflection on the car at all.

Red face

A colleague at work passed me a copy of a report in the Daily Star (don't ask, we employ some strange people) about Jeff Whitley of Man City and his near death episode in a P1 near Marple, Cheshire.

Apparently the car, on a test drive from Michael Wood garage in Stockport, hit a hump-backed bridge when accelerating, somersaulted 40ft into a field, landing on four wheels. To quote from the DS - a farm worker said "It was spectacular, the car took off like a plane". It smashed a 3 foot hole in the bridge before it took to the air. The two people in the car escaped with minor injuries.

Good advert for the safety of a P1 or bad image for Impreza's in general?

Cool

Well, I suppose the loss of this P1 will help the others keep their value a bit better... it's not good when a "limited" edition becomes even more "limited" in this manner.

Just another example of how these overpaid prima donnas rate their driving skills to be as good as their football skills.

If they're not crashing, they're speeding or drunk driving. But its OK 'cos their having a huge larf!

T055ers!

Its a case of overpaid footballers with big egos (fits a lot I can think of) who have no sense off the field and often very little on it.

Just to put a slightly different angle on this story. A friend of mine knows the Man City player involved in this little excursion, and told me it was the salesman that crashed the car not the footy player!!!
