I got my first check from the traffics and I've only had the scoob on the rd for 2weeks...

Fair enough if I was speeding but crawling through the city...

Chip on their shoulder on not???

I dont know about you, but I would much rather my car be stopped once in a while than never at all.

As for they are jealous, no need to be.

As long as you behave yourself surely they would have no reason to pull you over. I had a 300 ZX Z32 with all the goodies for 2 years before i bought a subaru and i didnt get pulled once.

Just never did anything silly so i guess they had no reason to........................

Btw im only 22 now!!!

I pulled into a petrol station last sunday and there happened to be two traffic coppers stocking up on donuts at the same time. Once they had paid for said donuts and coffee they spotted me parked up and minding my own business and pulled me out of the car and started checking my details. They then checked the whole car over [good job they didn't check for cats] and then got a measuring tape out and started to measure my front number plate.

They decided it was to small and gave me a ticket, all for just getting some petrol.

Jake,

I think you got a ticket for having an illegal plate, not for buying petrol

You know the rules, accept the consequences.

I know that, the point I was making was I pulled into the petrol station and stopped by the pump then the nosy coppers in the shop spotted me and decided to give me some grief, there was no way they could have seen my no plate from the shop only that it was a scooby.

I was giving a friend a lift home after a game of cards. He was drunk and it's on my way home. I left my mates house at 4.am pulls up at a give way sign and this Copper (not traffic) drives very slowly along the main road eyeballing us the whole time. He obviously thought I would pull out but no I wait until he finally he passes and pull out behind him.

He gets about 200yards and pulls into a bus stop layby with me right behind him. I get out of the Scoob and tap on HIS window which he dutifully unwinds. I said to him lets not play games you're only going to tug me in 5 minutes lets get it over done with

He replies that he wasn't going to pull me and says all this with about as much honesty as Mr Biggs He was so shocked it was a peach to watch. I gets back in the car drives off no details given at all. The guy didn't even ask my name.

Imagine the conversation explaining that one if I really had been a thief with the ***** to pull a stunt like that

Dun that too Supercue ..

Pulled across a junction a wee bit quickly, cos a scooby is effortlessly quick, wasnt a conscious thing, didnt break the law or anything, anyway just as I was disappearing up the street opposite I caught sight of a police car sitting at the front of the queue at the other lights ... next thing there are some ominious looking headlights following at a discreet distance behind me, I knew that whoever it was would have had to shift to catch up (having waited for the lights to change), but was now hanging back ... I guessed the worst and drove at 25mph (in a 30 limit) forcing it to close up a bit .. confirmed my suspicions and pulled over .. they pulled in after me and I got out and went over to a slightly bemused looking cop ... I told him that I'd decided to stop BEFORE I did anything wrong as a precaution ... He burst out laughing ..

Pretty much all the cops I have met have been absolutely fine, nearly joined up myself a few years ago so do feel a bit of an affinity with them anyway ..

I dont think the police are jealous or anything. I think the Subaru has made itself a target for their attention. Which isnt always a bad thing.

I have been stopped a few times for routine checks and they all seem very friendly and all comment on what a ncie car the Subaru is.

The only time I think that the police take it a bit too far is when I got a fixed penalty ticket for showing a blue light to the rear. I had left the undercar neons on which the only illumination you can see is the glow from under the car. I was sitting parked up in a private carpark, engine switched off, Me out of the car standing talking to my mate who is a police officer in his Subaru. When the Traffic vehicle pulled in and handed out the fixed penalty. He did this while three other vehicles were racing along the road that the car park was next to. His reply when asked why he thought the blue neons were more dangerous was he can only deal with one motorist at a time. Although he never even challeneged the other drivers or circulated car descriptions or anything.

Right its final for me, I've just made up my own mind...

Just came out from the girls, (dont really take the scoob over as the bad boy is far to noisy when starting her and letting her tic over) and im crawling out the town obviously all scoob drivers no what its like allowing the car to warm up...

...so taking it easy (20mph) up the hill out of the town and there is the boys in blue facing down the hill, but nicely tucked in with the other cars...

Both cops have a nice long stare, (think they saw me pick my nose and ping it at them) and I just had that feeling that they were going to come after me and sure enough, here comes the headlights...

Get back into my town and pull up and park next to my bro. Just as I was about to point out to him who was falling me, the words came out his mouth. They passed us and the driver had a grin on his face and then disappeared into the night like Michael Knight...

Think they have their own fun too...
