Does the SuperChip ECU add-on/upgrade do any adjustment to the ignition timing or fueling or does it just remove the Boost Limit.

The package seems very basic and I've heard that just 2-wires connected, in order to supply power to the Chip.

Surely more than that must be done ?

With my limited knowledge it's just a device to fool the ECU into seeing lower boost.
Along with a bleed valve to up boost a bit.

It's probably just installed inline with the MAP sensor.

All this sums up to Bad News (tm).

Get it Unichipped instead, or go for a Link/Motec if funds can allow it.

SAM's right (ouch, that hurt). It fools the ECU into thinking it's seeing less boost in the same way that a bleed valve does.

Nasty modification as you effectively remove the overboost protection, which is a Bad Thing (tm)

Superchip has 4 wires only. 2 to power it and the green and yellow go inline with the map sensor. It doesn't up your boost. you have to fit a bleed valve to do this.
Modification can be ok with caution.
