Following my dopey question on a Scooby web site - "Should I buy an Audi A3 Turbo or a WRX?" Has anyone bought a WRX from the Japanese Car Auctions? If so, is there anything I should be aware of or pay special attention to?

I have. Dont let your agent charge you sales tax; he reclaims it, buy minimum grade 4 or 3.5 only; allow for de-reg and FOB charges of about £500, expect to pay more than some already imported cars as many of them are grade R sh!te; make sure you get a certificate of de-registration with a translation and make sure that you see the auction sheet before buying if you didnt choose the car to bid on.
