shortly before i had my car ppp'd, i had a full decat exhaust system.i don't want to put the decat exhaust back on as i believe from what ive read, and also on advice from my dealer, that this will cause an overboost problem.it was also VERY loud! HOWEVER, i really miss the burble noise from the flat four which i don't seem to get with my prodrive backbox.
if i put the ss backbox back on will this give me my sound back? will it cause a problem with my ppp?
thanks for any advice folks

Hello m8,

I beleive you will be ok, Andy Tang runs not sure about DP, Magnex centre and SS back box when he had his PPP fitted, no problem raised.

Give it a go

Thought the warranty was dependant on the "right" parts being fitted, thats why you paid all that money, check b4 you do it as if it voids the warranty then money wasted. I assume that you "had" to remove the other aftermarket parts first ?

Any overboost problem could be taken care off by adjusting the boost control system, the warranty issue is the most important thing IMHO.

i had to put the original downpipe back on before it went off to prodrive. i dont miss the loud noise of a decat downpipe, but when i first bought the car i only had ss backbox/itg filter ( as a lot of people do) and it had that lovely burble noise, even at idle. my cars quick as i'd want it to be, i just miss the noise a lot
