I took of my i/c a week ago to swap the hose for a samco one. When I looked into the OEM hose I saw quite a bit of oil there. Looking into the i/c with the same result so I put the i/c in my oven at 75 degrees and got 1.5 centiliters of oil out of the i/c!
Can this really be right?
When I asked my dealer he said "with his experience of turbocharged engines it´s not wrong with some lubrication"! But who needs lubrication in the combustion-chamber?
I´ve asked him if an oilcatchertank is a proper investment but he seems reluctant to install such a device.
Is he right?? I have to have some back-up from you guys to persuade him into this modification! That is if I´m right of course

Really need your input on this!

Roger

The breathers return back into the intake system

There is a PCV valve that removes the nasty vapours/fumes when on vac.. but on boost they are blown into the inlet and through the intercooler.

The oil catch tank idea is a good idea. The dealer will be reluctant to fit it because it will void the warranty and he has probably never fitted one before.

Thanks for your reply FF!
Can´t find a "tank" here in Sweden (as usual) so do you have any addresses in the UK for me?
What happens IF I get oilmist into the combustion chamber? Won´t the ECU retard due to possible detting or what else could happen?
I need some "ammo" in my forthcoming war with my dealer.
BTW I never fill her up more than 3/4 with oil. It´s a std. MY99.

Cheers / Roger
