Terzo's are slightly more to insure than a standard uk car.
It will only be marginally quicker than your CTR but a whole lot more fun IMO, and easier to drive quicker.
I would find it very difficult to go back to a 2wd car cos with the Scoob, wheel spin has to be seriously provoked - i would imagine a CTR would spin all day at the lights
If i was you, i would forgwt the Terzo, and go for a MY99+. If you want a special edition then an RB5 it is

Not sure about the performance difference, but I've got a Terzo and think it's a fantastic car.
Mine's been very lightly modded, with brakes off a P1 (4 pots) and an STi 4 spoiler. It just puts a grin on my face every time I drive it. Best advice I can give you is go and take one for a spin. They might not be the fastest Scoob variant (208 bhp), but it depends what you're after.
They are quite rare, with only 333 ever produced. The colour is unusual, with the P1 being the only other UK classic that comes in the Rally Blue. Oh, and they have gold wheels of course. So if you buy one expect loads of "hairdresser" cracks from Scoobynet members who are too young to shave, let alone drive.
Lots of people rate the RB5 but personally if I wanted a grey car I would have stuck with my beemer

I have a "terzo" that is quite heavilly modified, it is more like an STi4 but I can give you some info. Had a bit of a do with a CTR(may have been modded) a month or so and there wasn't much in it, but that said my car was set up like a bag of **** and was really poor.
I have recently got my car mapped properly and now I doubt a CTR would be able to trouble my car.
As for performance a standard Terzo would struggle against a CTR and a good driver.
I have put an ernormous amount of money into my car to get it to go some,(est £15,000)
If I could turn back time and start over the only thing I would change is the people I have used to "tune" my car and still bought the Terzo, only because of what I have got now.
You need to decide what you are going to do with the Terzo, if you intend modding or not, if not keep the CTR without question, if you plan to modify, give me a mail and I will tell you who not to use
Hopefully I will try and save you some money

My last Terzohere.
And there isn't a day goes by when I don't miss it

BTW they have the solid rear seats (they don't fold down) air con and cat 1 Alarm as standard.
A cat free exhaust, dawes device set at 17.5 psi and itg filter will get you around 260 bhp.
Upgrade the brakes to 4-pots as the standard 2-pots are shockingly bad.
