all subaru dealers were warned not to use 0w40 oils because they are to thin for subaru turbos .

Stuff ive been using is this American Nascar Oil which the Japs put into their 1000BHP Skylines and so...

Makes the car quieter and smother I reckon.

I think it might be 20/50.

Watch it guys, Dave's getting angry!
Dave - don't use 0w0 - too thin for scoob.
Have you go a uk car within warranty? If so, use the 5w40 Mobile1 that dealers have, otherwise:
Mobile1 15w50
or Silkoline 10w50

Question

My car has so far had:
Subaru running in oil,
Castrol Magnatec
Mobil 1
and on thursday it's getting some Duckhams syrup.
Why do dealers use such different oils?
Ron
