Rear tail light on our MY99 has gone, so I went to replace the bulb this morning...

...The access panels in the trim haven't been cut out. So I'll have to wait until a suitable time when I can remove the whole panel and cut it out myself as well as changing the bulb.

Anyone else found the same??

Our Legacy has fully edge trimmed access panels with decent catches, etc.

Yup, mine was like that.

Never had to change a bulb though.

Question

My '98 car was the same: when I came to fit towing electrics it was a panel out job. Still only takes about 10 minutes though.

Trim panel only pulls off (well on MY97 saloon anyway)

Just remove the 2/3 push on clips and pull back the rubber boot seal and out it comes...it's not exactly rocket science

Thumbs up

Did you not get the "trim panel cut-out" template in your drivers handbook ?

It was just a surprise, compared to the comparative luxury trim of our Legacy Turbo.

I mean the moulding is there for the access panel, it just needed cutting, the lazy wotsits!

We all knew the interior build quality and luxury on our car’s (mine being a Classic `00) was poor, probably before we handed over the cash for them.. People try and say, “It’s like a proton”……….Look at my face… I don’t care.
When I drive it hard I grin!!!!!! Do you grin in your Peugeot GTI??? Errr no.

That’s what their all about, practical, powerful and above all the one thing which distinguishes our cars from the lemmings out their, Mr Audi TT etc……. they are a joy to drive.
