I sold my standard MY'99 Impreza GT Turbo Exhaust backbox today to somebody who owns a 2.0L Impreza.
I checked both the underside of his car and mine to see if there's any difference but I couldn't see well. In my opinion it doesn't fit as the Turbo exhaust pipe seems bigger then the 2.0L.
But this guy was pretty sure that it would fit.
Now my question is : Does it fit or not?

Scoobysport sell three types of exhaust backbox - one for the Turbo, one for the RS2.5 and one for the Sport. The sport version is also slightly more expensive. This would seem to suggest that there are slight differences. Whether that is in the internals of the exhaust or in the actual dimensions of the pipe - I couldn't say. It might have something to do with the amount of back pressure generated, which I assume would be different between a turbo and non-turbo car.

So it's possible that the backbox would fit, but it might not be an ideal match.
