hi all

i bought the ngk laser platinum plugs for my 93 legacy turbo,can any one tell me the gap setting. it should be the same as the imp

i set mine at 1.0mm which you are suppose to apparently, but when the boost come in it blow out the spark so i phoned up power eng and they said set it at 0.7mm, which is perfect.

Hi John,
I've just done the same (ie brought ngk laser platinum for my Legacy). I set it at 0.7mm as it said in the manual and had this was comfirmed by the Subaru garage.
A bit expensive arn't they! The motor did seem to go quite a bit smoother after though.

i also want to drll holes in the air box before the filter.has anyone tried this.

John,

Why don't you get an induction kit or a performance panel filter instead. The induction will give you the noise you are looking for without drilling holes and a few bhp.

i had tought of it. but i'v read that in the older scoob's this can seriously affect the air flow meter. so for now i'm going for the pipercross or the k&n panel filter(cheaper)
as you know i'v put a few squids back into the car already.
