Question

Sorry to go over old ground , but I have spent plenty of time on the search facility looking at MAF threads , and it does seem to get the blame for a lot of problems . My (MY99) has started to stall when I approach a roundabout and dip the clutch ( the tick over drops too far and it stalls). The revs also keep fluctuating when it's ticking over . Does this sound like the MAF is fooked or should I be looking at something else first ?

Sorry if I'm being a pain

Dave

you could check it by unplugging it while the engine is idling - should even out.

A bust oxygen sensor causes the same symptoms, unplug it at idle and again, if it's knacked, the idle will settle. On my MY99, the o2 sensor went first, then the MAF

However, bust o2 sensor won't do any harm to car, while failing MAF most certainly can.

Thx Simon , is the o2 sensor the spark plug looking thing at the back of the engine on the exhaust ?
