Whats the options for upgrading my MY93 WRX clutch kit?

Ive fitted a Black Diamond back in February and virtually since then its not so much slipped as smoked and smelt !!

1/4 mile starts are right out of the question!

Whats a good clutch to fit (Helix, GpN or STi + ??) which wont suffer from this. Im looking to up power in the future so it needs to handle up to circa 300Bhp and take a hard start.

Advice please

Cheers

Richie

RichieC,

I hillclimb a UK94 which has been modified somewhat. The Std clutch was useless. Upgraded to an AP Racing Sprung paddle. Not too bad. A little juddery but has coped with standing starts very well.

Cool

Richie,

I had my clutch replaced on MY93 WRX about 6months ago with a Helix from S/S, Ive had no probs so far and the feel of the pedal is not that much different from the standard.

Richie,

I put a Group N Organic clutch into my MY94 WRX which I got from PTS in St.Albans. Has never given me a moments worry, and has a really nice bite to it, but not the judder etc associated with a paddle clutch. If you want the ultimate though, I know somebody with a spare 22b twin plate clutch

What sort of money are these different options??

Id love a 22B clutch but fear it would strain the transmission too badly...thoughts on this??
