My car is lossing boost, power feels way down, had it tested and its maxing at 0.6 if a bar.

Anyone had this before ??
Where do I start looking ??

93 WRX 45,000 miles

The garage looking at it said its could be because its 7 years old that the boost is dropping, sound crap to me.

Suggestions please.

Cheers

I think my MY96 is not as quick as I think it should be (long story) and I have been told that it may be a leaky dumpvalve. Will be getting a boost gauge fitted to see.

Your's could be a leeky dumpvalve. Could the solenoid also be at fault or the waste gate.

I'm no Turbo mechanic, but these are suggestions. Hopefully Steve, Mike, Pete or Bob should be able to help.

The Dump Valve is brand new HKS jobbie so I hope that is not it.

If it is the solenoid thats at fault or the waste gate what should I look for at to run some diags ??

if its lost boost after you put a new dump valve on the logical thing to do would be to put it back how it was.

If this cures it rawles your uncle.
