I've got a job at the moment but its not enough hours etc etc and i want to look for another job. If i was to quit this job before finding another, would i be entitled to claim jobseekers allowance while i look for a better one? Ive had interviews for 2 jobs at banks and each time ive had to phone in sick to where i currently work as the 'assessments' are only in the morning.
Anyone know where i would stand on this?

Only joking, however perhaps if you signed that bit of paper re the 'agreement' collecting dust then I'm sure you could become a lady of leisure.
Try Cornhill, AXA PPP, NPI (then again probably not NPI) - all in TW so no travelling costs and I hear PPP's pay isnt that bad!!

When I used to work in a job centre in the early 90's the rules were that if you left a job of your own accord or were sacked you could sign on and claim but, were immediately suspended from recieving benefit (could be for a period of up to 6 months) whilst your claim was decided by an adjudication officer. However if you left your job of your own accord and then took a days temporary work then the temp job would be recorded as your last job and, as it was a temporary job was not subjected to the same rules, ie you could get benefit straight away. It was an 'interesting' loophole in the system but more importantly it was completely kosher
Not sure if this still applies though, maybe a phone call to the job centre would enlighten you?

I'd guess Surrey
Got to hang in there and keep hassling the agencies and getting the local paper as soon as the shops open on a Friday morning so you can get applications in before anyone else. Its the worst time of year to be looking as well, picks up after January/April normally because everyone is too busy arranging p!ss ups and not taking people on and because of yearly budgets and headcounts normally dont get increased this late into the financial year
Chin up as I know the **** you having to put up with
