Early next year AFAIK, was going to be before Christmas but it has been delayed.

 

And here you were hoping that someone might get the hint and get it for you for Christmas

I believe it is out spring / summer 2004. Also some people that have played early versions have been slating it!!

Yup I heard spring - for the reasons stated above - the Beta versions aint very good

Was looking forward to that as well

 

They are bringing out a basic version of gt4 with limited levels and cars etc.. out for xmas because the developer guy isnt happy with it at the moment and for xmas sales.

Full release is due out 2nd 1/4 of 2004 .

I have the import version featuring just one car (Toyota Prius Wierd hybrid electric thing) One circuit (Tsukuba) Initially the handlings wierd But after a while the liftoff oversteer was pretty believable even with the joypad There will be GT4 Prologue out in japan before Xmas Dont know whether or not they will convert it to our market before xmas In the meantime try Nead for speed Underground (out friday 21st) EXCELLENT ) The drag racing mode is superb,online as well.The drift mode is highly addictive with pretty accurate handling If your machine is "chipped" try a game called "Shintuko battle zero" Japan only but chipped machines will run imports Street racing with realistic handling )...Cheers Grunt
