Anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the tailpipe on a Prodrive backbox (fitted as part of the PPP)?
It's only been on the car for 6 weeks, but it's getting more and more difficult to remove the black exhaust stains every time I wash the car.
Thanks

Chrome cleaner (which also leaves a bit of an oily protective film).

Petrol, then T-Cut.
Autoglym metal polish only if absolutely necessary (can leave fine scratches as it reasonably coarse).
Then a smidge of your favourite thin oil or polish (doubt polish would last too long though... or oil...?
).

I used once (as i could not find anything else) Auto glym (sp) wheel cleaner and have never used anything else since.
Comes up well with out any effort.

i spray neat truck wash in pipe then jet wash, then with a bit of rag and jif, fist **** the pipe to remove remainder of black.
dry off with rag then i used to use autoglean metal polisher, ran out so used zymol car polish, just as good and dirt, soot tends to have trouble sticking again!!!

Does a Prodrive tail pipe need more care and attention and specialist cleaning than any other exhaust pipe then?????
