Hi all, I have fitted a PTS boost gauge, which i am pleases with, came with all the right connectors, and sufficient hose etc. etc. All I need to do is wire the lighting up. Wheres the best place to connect to? I have read that the clock dimmer {Bright switch] is a good place to connect to. There are 4 wires to the clock, anyone know which colours i need to splice into? Can I then run an earth wire to a convenient earthing point on the car? Electrics not my strong point, as you can probably tell!! Thanks for any help,

Regards, Mark

hello.... I have fitted a boost gauge and it is mounted on the dash by the A pillar. I dont know where you have put yours but I used the fog lights switch. They are easy to get out and the wires can be hidden behind the dash. Also the fog lights only become live when the lights are on.....Bingo

Another little tip is if you want to match the rest of your dash then colour the bulb with felt tip or a suitable nail varnish...!

hope this is some help

Kris, many thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, my gauge is by the A pillar as well, the fog light switch seems a good idea, also the tip on bulb colouring. I'll go and have a look now, thanks mate,

Mark

I tried colouring the bulb with a felt tip, but it faded off. Came across coloured bulbs in my local A1 Autostores. 95p for 2, same type as the PTS boost gauge.

I've just fitteda Racetech boost gauge to my 93MY WRX. It sits just above the radio, in the centre console. Had to make a blanking plate/support bracket. I took the feed for the light from the light on the cigar lighter. Hence only lit when lights on. Neutral tied into cigar lighter as well.

Thanks for all your help guys. Did'nt get round to it yesterday, but WILL do it today! Kris, i tried colouring the bulb with felt tip . After connecting it up to a 12v battery, managed to get the colouring pretty close to the dash lighting. Thanks, but if it fades I'll try Daves tip.

Regards, Mark

Mark F, i'll try out connecting to the cigar light, as I had already run a wire to this area in when I was looking at hooking up to the clock dimmer. Cheers.
