Can it actually be driven? Or does it just sit there wheelspinning all four wheels getting passed by micras and drooled over by spotty max power readers?

ive seen this at crail raceways, this can shift,it was doing something like 10sec 1/4 miles, and that was without the nos being switched on.
they also have a 750bhp skyline, not many people taking them on.

iirc there's a tuner who can get a reliable 600BHP out of 2.5 none NOS.. just saving up for the conversion

Did it not put a piston through the block at the pod?

IIRC it was running 13's possibly 12's at crail with a not too impressive terminal speed.

I think the times have improved since then. I think they have now ran a 11.9. Here is the link to crd's impreza's dyno @ well lane http://dyno.scoobynet.co.uk/WLjap/calder_race_dev.htm

As far as i know no scooby in the UK has run 10sec 1/4 miles.

I think the time to beat is 11.6.

Not always about 'BHP' when you make over 500ft/lbs of torque by 3500 rpm

I seen this car in the flesh today. Stunning. They have a 700 brake supra, as well as a 400 brake integra and silly power skyline.

I am actually thinking of buy their r32 skyline they had advertised.

Check them out at:

http://www.caldermotor.co.uk

Enjoy.

Davie have a search around the various car forums to see what the general opinion of the seller is before setting your heart on a car.

Lets see the 1/4 mile times to back it up 550bhp should be low 10's if my meagre 440 can run 11.6

550bhp should be low 10s???!!
no way!....it might squeeze into a 10.9 on a perfect run and setup with 550.
You'll need near a genuine (!) 800bhp in a 1200kg scoob and using "road legal tyres" to get very very low 10s!
You need more and more power to just improve tengths when you start geting close to high 10s. eg

Subaru Impreza Sti 6 Type R 99 276 1260 223 4.5 12.2 7.7 13.27 @ 104.70 12.87 @ 107.60
Subaru Impreza Sti 6 Type R 99 350 1260 282 3.7 9.7 6.0 12.40 @ 113.51 12.00 @ 116.84
400 1260 323 3.4 8.7 5.3 12.01 @ 118.28 11.61 @ 121.84
440 1260 355 3.2 8.0 4.8 11.77 @ 121.59 11.37 @ 125.30
500 1260 403 3.0 7.3 4.3 11.49 @ 125.94 11.09 @ 129.83
550 1260 444 2.9 6.9 4.0 11.31 @ 129.10 10.91 @ 133.12
800 1260 645 2.7 5.2 2.6 10.48 @ 145.27 10.08 @ 149.96

One has to wonder how Martin Hadland's escort cossie managed a 10.2 with about 600hp then....

Or Andy F's RA getting 11.7 with 360hp.

The world is full of surprises.

Whats their true bhp??? which can vary big time between RR's/dynos, 370bhp may well be a conservative figure. I thought Martin did a 10.6run at the pod, and I also heard he was running near 630-650bhp and its lighter than a scoob - something like 1100-1150kg or less becuase its stripped?

Estimates:
Scoob 380bhp 1260 306 3.5 9.0 5.5 12.15 @ 116.46 11.75 @ 119.94
640 1100 591 2.7 6.1 3.4 10.96 @ 135.39 10.56 @ 139.68

Yeh but lads we are talkin' about hose pipe injectors (possibly 1000cc) and 2 NOS systems! so it might be more than 550bhp (me finks!)
