Le Chateau Challenge Scoobysport-WaxWizard Team update

Thanks for all the sponsorship! Total pledged is now £695. That money goes direct to supporting Marie Curie nurses.

My new navigator Susan, passed her last test today by surviving a quick drive across Dartmoor. There are some great roads down there! There were a couple great kinks in the road - going downhill - a quick right/left over a small bridge & then uphill again. Taking that sort of thing flat out even made my own lunch think of making a reappearance! ;-)

Although we now have details of the general location of the trip, we won't know the full Chateau listing until 6 weeks before the event. I hear that I have some competition this year from an Aston Martin. Just how quick are those things?

New Navigator Susan, Single girl is she. I think you should be bringing this Susan to the Star on Sun 7th. This might drum up some extra Sponsorship, Dave is trying to organize a get together on the 7th. Bring her along and I for one will donate £50 to your charity.
Aston Martin’s are very fast But then so are the latest porshe’s and we have them for breakfast at Exmoor. There is not a lot that will keep up with us across those moors, and if it rains you will be out in front on your own. Just hope the roads you have to run on a similar. But does it mater I am certain you will do well.

Hmmm

Yes Susan is single (divorced) but this is strictly a "friends" thing. Separate rooms etc. Also she's a bit more in your age group...!!

She lived in France for the past 10 years & speaks fluent French - so she's my secret weapon in the event!

Sunday 7th for the next meet did you say?? Which year would that be Bob?

4th looks good!

SO, do you still want me to bring Susan, or shall I ask one of the cute Marie Curie girls along...?
