This might just be a stupid question, but has anyone ever thought of using some sort of airconditioning system in order to cool the intercooler instead of water spray, or am I just being daft?

RON,
A good thought...
But the effeciency/power of the Aircon plant isnt directly strong enough to provide cooler to the air.
Maybe, if you rigged up a charge cooler with the air con plant and had it continually running to chill the reserve of water then it might.... but you are looking at a 3 stage cooling system.. you have to consider the energy required, the losses at each stage of transfer, etc.... Basically it wont be worth it.. and the aircon isnt designed to be running all the time.
