I only get waved at when driving the landy

There's probably a Landy forum somewhere with a "was it you" section with someone trying to figure out who has the noisey V8 lighweight

I tend to hold the steering wheel and just lift the hand. A scooby driver who is in the know, will see it and appreciate it. Anyone else (who are the sad people who do not have the *knowledge*) will probably not see it and I don't feel a prat for waving at some person I don't know.

Yes I do it and I still own my Mini.

I've had my first two recently.

First one was me approaching a Subaru heading towards me. As he got closer, his hand moved, so I waved. Turned out he just scratched his nose, so I felt like a twot.

Second one was this evening. Taking my wife home and had my first proper wave, but too close to wave back (so other guy probably thinks I'm an arrogant blobeye driver).

My wife thinks its hilarious - she wondered if I knew him

Be careful mate you might get a bird wave at you, and we do have some tasty looking birds on scoobynet, she might think your getting your leg over somewhere

Explore: welcome to the land of Scoobs!

OH NO; here we go again on the hand wave subject!
Gets the most response after the "should I PPP..?" threads
(to which I've also replied)

Right - must do some work.

I always wave BUT never look to see if the other person does. That way if they ignore me I don't feel a prat!

Nearly waved at a Scoob this morning - then realised that I'm now driving a Golf - but then again I occaisionaly used to wave at Scoobs when I cycled into work - yes I am sad

The wave also happens when I'm in the Westie - and even sometimes from a Cateringvan - though some just look away when they realise that "I've not got the heritage"
