and it has three year warranty.. 250bhp and Active Valve Control System!!

Its been there a long while matey. I looked at it when I bought my STi8 and that was 6 months ago.
I think its a jap version of the wrx with a few extra horse power. I liked the colour, I liked the wheels but it wasnt 100% clean. Although im sure David would make it look like new before he sold it.
Oh and I bought my Sti from David in the end

does it say STi on it... 250bhp seems low on a jap spec don't you think?

i know it has a sti grille on it because david hendry cars swopped the sti grille for the original one to fit morrette's onto another car(the sti),morretes won't fit on a sti grille but will fit on a wrx grille on the bug eye!

oh its got about 800 miles on it, so its new as in not registered,not new as in never driven!

The 250hp engine is the standard Japanese spec WRX. The difference over the UK/Euro spec WRX is that it has active valve control. Apparently, over 80% of the engine is redesigned compared to 'our' version.....

No it's not Phil.

The Jap version of the WRX (Bug Eye onwards) has AVC and 250bhp, no UK WRX (non-STi) has it.

The UK market is the poor relation. Its the same as the Jap spec STi getting dual scroll turbo and DCCD diff, the UK STi does not.

IIRC even the standard non turbo Jap Impreza has AVC

IMO Phil I would rather go for a band new MY03 UK WRX. Its only 25bhp down which is just a small mod away and you get a "NEW" car, zero miles, new shape, full UK warranty, no problems with servicing and parts, cheaper insurance, far better looks and better resale value.

hi phil-having my car repaired and gave my local garage one of the decals i bought off you and dealer thought it was very good quality and wondered where i got it from as he was having problems locating a decal for my new boot

I had thought that anyway. 250's not much different to what i have now.
If i were going to spend £18k on a 02 Bug Eye.. think i would like the Langtree's Sti RA Spec C with 310bhp with no mods!
