On my MY98 turbo estate the air conditioning / fan heater fuse blows each time the ignition is switched on (when the starter is fired up, not when the key is inserted/rotated).

Is there some load being applied that fuses the wiring, or could some wiring have got shorted out under the bonnet (radiator fans are always rotating)?

Also, does anyone know if the warranty covers such problems (18 months old)? As the A/C is a UK thing, do any A/C related problems not get covered by the warranty?

Any help appreciated,

Sam

If it's a UK spec car, then take it to your dealer and ask them to fix it under warranty.

Sounds like something could have shorted out in the AC or fan which is causing the problem.
