Stunt Car Racer - developer has bit the dust
#1
In case you didn't know, the legendary game STUNT CAR RACER by Geoff Crammond, which was released for various platforms in the late 80's / early 90's, such as Atari ST, Amiga, Commodore64, was recently put into development for today's consoles and PC's. It was supposed to give Geoff a break from doing Grand Prix games.
Sadly news has come of the demise of the developer handed the job - Lost Toys...
"Gamesindustry.biz (thanks Boomtown) has news that Lost Toys, the UK-based developer formed by former employees of Bullfrog and Electronic Arts, has shut its doors. The company had released two games, MoHo and Battle Engine Aquila, and was at work on Stunt Car Racer Pro when the decision to close the company came down. Word is: "Company director Jeremy Longley confirmed that development has ceased at the studio, stating that he and the other directors are now investigating opportunities to maximise the potential of the developer's intellectual property."

Good news in my opinion. Geoff Crammond really fecked up GP4 big time and he couldnt even be bothered to patch it. Right now I'd buy nothing that he had a hand in.
