I would guess that as it has a front mounted Intercooler they turned the scoop around for better aerodynamics. Either that or it was built by a Japanese guy after 5 bottles of Sake.

I'm with Mark on this one. I have seen other pics of cars with the bonnet scoop round the wrong way and they all had a front mounted intercooler.

 

Yep, FMIC

They trun the scopp the other way round, and as the car moves, the air is encouraged through the intercooler, and out of the reversed bonnet scoop.

 

so it helps boil the rain on your windscreen then!?
