I'm on Vodafone and recently the reception at home has dropped drastically making the P800 very hard to use.

I've spoken to Voda many times and of course it's not their networks fault.

They suggested an internal aerial but then they discovered they don't have the fly lead for the P800.

Does anyone have any suggested methods of improving my reception at home? In other locations it is fine, so it's not the P800!

regards,

greg

I'm normally stick one of my fingers in my other ear, and get the missus to hold my arm with her other in the air. Works a treat

You need moisture to get good reception. I suggest that she holds something else, or you put your hand somewhere ...... !

Do not be too sure it is not the phone. I also have a P800 which is pathetic in my house, and yet my previous 2 Nokias had been excellent. I tried one of these cheap stick on "amplifiers" (bought off e bay)- no improvement at all.

Wink

Probably of no help at all - move to Orange. They do have the best network coverage.

Ok - so Voda are probably better in the big cities, but overall Orange is better.

If that is not a viable option, get a Nokia phone. No quibbles with them so far. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, move house to a different location - that might sort the problem.
