Thumbs up

I've had my MY98 UK from new, its now done about 95k. Have a look at http://www.arnesta.freeserve.co.uk/history.htm

Its a history of all the work done on my car, with the mileage. Should hopefully give you an idea of what you might expect.

The big things to look out for on MY98s are the clutch and piston slap.

Hope this helps,

Tony

Question

Tony,

Out of interest, after your 82.5K service, all your later servicing has been done by Prosport. Are they a Subaru Dealer?

Just asking coz mine will be coming up to the big services in the next couple of years but am wondering what to do regarding the warrantee/servicing side.

Can I assume that your warrantee has run out, therefore, Prosport do the servicing as they're not Subaru Dealers?

Cheers,

Dan

Dan, your assumptions are correct.

My warranty ran out over a year ago, so I didn't NEED to go to a main dealer for servicing. I'd heard lots of good things about Prosport, and I've been taking my car there for a while.

They are not a franchised dealership or anything, they are independant specialists, with all the right equipment and experience. They still stamp my service book, although its now meaningless as far as warranty is concerned.

Cheers,

Tony

Mine's just approaching 127k, other than normal servicing, I've had the rear wheel bearings done (seem to go around 100k) & are quite pricey (£500 inc labour) otherwise it's fine.
