Hi - I fitted an oval one on my silver 95WRX 5 door at Lex, Warwick.

A lot of people say it suites the 5 door better than the 4 door - seems to suite the wierd shape :-)

Anyway - it sounds brilliant, very low bass which sings at 5000 rpm - my mate has a TVR and is jealous....

I'm afraid I wouldn't know if it adds Bhp - the car is fast enough anyway :-) and its cheaper than the scoobysport one (looks better too)

cheers

Thumbs up

Hi Dave - I've got the oval one fitted to my MY98. Sounds great, both inside the car and out. Low bass rumble and then a roar at higher revs. Lookswise, I think it suits the 4-door too, though I have to say it looks a bit more aggressive than the Scoobysport box. It will add a few BHP if you use it with a freeflowing air filter like K&N.

Dave I've had a Magnex(round) fitted to MY00 sounds great from inside!!
I was behind a lad at the last Northern meet, he had a Scoobysport one fitted and I thought that sounded a bit beefier than mine.
The dealer that fitted mine sold both Magnex and Scoobysport and they thought that the Scoobysport was better quality.I got the Magnex because it was cheaper(cheapskate or what!!)

Hi

I have a 97' 5 dr, and I'm looking for a new exhaust, how loud is the magnex one! I heard the Scoobysport one and its too loud for the 5dr (IMHO).

I'm looking for something with a beefy note and that will help my Blitz induction kit breath easier! but I don't want it too noise inside the car,

Any ideas, any one????

Hi

I've been thinking about a Magnex Exhuast for a while now!

Does having the centre section and cat removed make much difference to the sound / performance? - is it a massive difference?

mines a round 3.5", noise isnt much louder than standard, but has much bassier note, problem is i have to drive with rear windows down, and havent listened to the cd player since fitting it(how sad am i)
regards

ps,dont notice the performance as such, but revs seem to fall slower when changing gear,or it s maybe just all in the mind.....

James,
I have fitted a 6*4 Magnex back box and had the de-cat done 2 weeks ago at Scoobysport and can recomend highly.
Great sound in tunnels and much deeper roar with the de-cat.
I am now going for the Scoobysport downpipe for added audio appeal.
