Question

OK, so now I've got my scoob, Imported it myself and love it to bits (but dont we all.. ). I located an exporter fairly easily and the rest was pretty straightforward

Thing is ...I've got a hankering to import a bike (Yamaha R6)but can't sem to find anyone or any sites

anyone know where I can start ??

You could try a copy of More Cr@p than News (MCN), there's a classifieds bit every week which might have a number in. There's also ads from "grey" dealers.

Been looking there, but I wanted to bypass the dealers over here. same as buying imprezas in Holland, people are buying bikes the same way.I just want to know where from.

You could try talking to David or Caroline at Dacar on 01508 481768

These are the dudes I used to import my WRX Wagon, but they inform me that they import bikes as well, so it might be worth giving them a try.

Thanks Markus..have they a web site/email address. (don't want boss overhearing non-biz calls)
The only thing I've learned since is that Japan seems mainly a 400cc market..hard to get 600 + bikes..must be someone tho''

I'd try what the scoob guys did, get hold of a dealers name over there (via web?) and go from there.

Thanks Chuckster..keep em coming guys, this is good stuff..

R6 should be great for me as I'm 5.7" and built like carl fogarty..good for at last another 10mph .

anyone else ride a bike to work..gotta be the way in this weather and a way round all those cars in the way.
