Go for the scoobyECU remap..!! costs about £100 all in and you will feel the benefits alot more than say a super chip..!!! plus its alot safer..

I have a 93 wrx with full Hks exhaust system, ITG High Flow Panel Filter and Forge ReCirc DumpValve. and am thinking of the next stage in getting better performance is to take on the ecu. This is new ground to me. Superchip and unichip are both around the 500 mark so im not sure which one to go for? If possible i would like to hit 300bhp with my wrx, can the above with a chip be done? all imput links to sites be good

Superchip - Dont go near it

Unichip - If mapped by someone who knows it , one of the best value for money solutions to your requirements.

I run a Unichip and am 100% happy with it. Mapped by Owen Developments (www.owendevelopments.co.uk) who IMO are the best for this product in the UK.

Just remember that it will only ever be as good as the technician that maps it ,so you can easily get a bad result from a Unichip.

If you are thinking of pushing the car beyond your original target a Link ECU will give further scope and Bob Rawle is the man to speak to (www.brdevelopments.co.uk)

the scoobyECU remap for 100 all in that sounds pretty good value as im a student but what average bhp icnrease should i be looking at with that remap? I will look into the option of a unichip, if i get a good mapper will it take my wrx past 300 bhp?

If you get the chip mapped for your mods then you can get it passed 300bhp... but think about bigger injectors, fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator before you do that..

I am having a 96 WRX which went from 208 to230 with a full decat and from 230 to 250 with a Unichip but not sure if the local chap here in Bangkok used it's full potential, people in Australie say that a 15% HP increase should be possible.

Have read a lot of good news on David Walls stuff here and would love to try it but it's bit of a drive from here...
