clutch noise when driving hard

When driving hard and changing gears up to 4th gear & over 4000rpm
theres what I can only describe as a roaring noise when pressing down the clutch and depressing the clutch.Anyone have any idea what it could be.It doesnt seem to be coming from the engine but the clutch area.
Std MY2000.
