You know all us scooby owners (well all performance car owners ) get the corsa's.. micra's.. minis etc etc buging us by geting right upto our rear when thers trafic ahead or when we just wana cruise and not boot it... or they block our path when we want to overtake...

Well other night me and my younger brother whent out for a small drive. On way back home a micra starts tailing me.. i dont wana boot it cos i'm low on fuel and thers trafic infront of me. The micra with 3 lads inside overtake me and the cars infront, and JUUUST manages to squeeze back into lane as the second lane is for right turners.They overtake making rude hand signals!!! -) as we drive further down n escort and a corsa overtake in a simialar manner!!!
It really annoyes me when drivers do this! why not try it on n open road?

Anyway the road splits up one lane to the left and one to the right... we go to the right and infront of us is the Micra.. the Corsa.. and the Escort at a set of traffic lights... after the lights the road is a dual carriage way i think to myself i'm gona SMOKE em!!! bro looks at me and says you know who's just up the road after the bend? we'd seen a police car mobile speed camera on our way out of town (they always stop at that point but never had seen em this late) he says boot it into second lane make em all put their foot down into the straight and you back off before coming into the view of the cop car.. i do exactly that..

I rev the engine boot it a little and away go the other three cars.. i back off and knock back down to 30mph..

Ohh i couldn't stop laughing when i saw ALL three of em pulling over with the cop car flashing its lights!!! and the coppers gave us a blank stare (they always do)

We drove past and back round again they seemed to have booked the micra and let the other two go with a warning as they can only clock one car on the camera (i think)..

Serves em right don't you think??? hahahaha

I would be, because he was driving relatively sensibly, not endangering other road users.....

it was their choice to do a stupid overtaking manouver and speed away from traffic lights, they should take the consequences too.

I speed Yes every now and again.. overtake on a dual carriageway when thers room.. but never in built up area or where it puts other drivers in danger aswell as myself...

this about a month back..

I was driving to Bradford and a red vauxhall Astra Gsi speeds up behind me right up my bumper he then procedes to overtake and has a clear view infront of him and so do i so i nail it and see him faid away... i then slow down and he carries on speeding in n atempt to catch upto me.. when he catches up i'm going round a bend and he goes into the oposite lane to overtake through the bend.. there is no way he can see any oncoming traffic so i dont put my foot down at this point because i dont want him to crash and he overtakes i continue at 40mph and as i'm exiting the bend i hear a screeching sound.. he'd lost controll and the car had spun now facing 45 degrees from the direction its suposed to be facing i slow down and he straitens up and away he goes AGIAN!!!

Eversince if a car wants to overtake i allow it i know my car and i know what its capable of.. roads are for driving and not racing the occasional bit of challange is ok as long as its in n open area with no pedestrians and with care.

Just thought i'd say.

Those 3 comments say it all I think - by deliberately baiting them you haven't given a thought to the consequences of causing 3 cars to speed and maybe cause an accident because of their bad driving!!

I generally do think that when i know the road ahead is clear and open.Wouldn't be driving a scooby if i didn't want that feeling.

I baited them to speed and therefore maybe cause them to crash.If they were gona crash on that sort of a road then they SHOULDN't be driving at all!!! and besides i knew they wouldn't be speeding for long with the cop car infront.

having said that i do respect your point redkop but drivers like that dont need baiting they do it anyway and baiting them when i knew they could be caught simply felt good. maybe they will think twice next time.

 

I probably get more of these type of drivers baiting me, because I am a female with a fast car [not a scoob ] but I rise above it and don't get involved with idiots like that. Let them get on with it, they will be the victims of their own undoing one day.

Your right we should rise above them.. i guess i'm still learning to do that as its my first performance car and i've never had idiot drivers annoy me like that before.

Its true drivers like that come about there own undoing but in the process hurt inocent ppl too. So why not get em arrested..
I mean police oficers bait drivers into speeding too... They've done it with me a couple of times now in unmarked cars by tailing me and speeding away..

classic, i had the same happen to me a while back, two guys in a saxo, pulled up to me at the lights at bridgefoot in Warrington,, wound down his window and asked me about the car " whats it running" to which i replied "around 350" .....then came the BS..." ive got a golf that throws out 450bhp...it would smoke that jap crap"....MMmmmmmm okay whatever, i just smiled and poped the window back up, at this point he starts blipping the throtle.
Now anyone with driving experiance of warrington, would know that at the bottom of bridge foot, there is a little park, and in the entrance to said park, there ALWAYS, ALWAYS is a police car...and true to form....yes there was, now i could see this because 1) i know what to look for, and 2) i was in the second lane, the first lane is blind to the entrance due to some bushes.....lol

So anyway....i blipped my throtle,.....wwwwhhhaaaa BANG..nice little flame shoot out the back......lights go Amber........WHooooosssseeeeee i go absoulty no where ....Mr Saxo shoots past the copper, who then pulls out...then pulls them.......lol...just goes to show you, if they had not have give me all that mindless "max power" banter..i would have warned them....but insted...****'em...tough luck....
