I pulled up next to a Merc at the service station on the motorway, next to the Merc was an STI7 looked to have PPP (wheels etc) really nice condition.
And the two blokes just leaning against the Merc having a conversation and I hear one of them go "well the subaru its just mondeo man on a power trip, they obvioulsy don't know a real car"

the fecking cheek! bet they never even sat in one never mind driven one!!!! I just laughed to myself and walked off....

unfortunately, the 220 Mondeo would give a std uk scooby troubles on the motorway - I've experienced this first hand. I think a standard UK bugeye will be in serious trouble...

5) However, the 3.0litre 220 is a good car and would worry a UK WRX

Must've been a C-class Merc, the guys obviously have a misplaced superiority complex

 

But the subaru is not a motor way cruiser anyone who bought an impreza did not do it for the motor way performance

 

I'm a mondeo man on a power trip and I have an Impreza- they must have been right.

 

I got a decatted UK car and I ate a CLK430 for breakfast the other day.
It was a bit of work, obviously, but got past him in the end - he wasn't a happy bunny

The point I was making was that the thread was started by a Merc drivers comment belittling (sp?) scoobs. So thought I'd point that out...
