What are dealers not necessarily just Subaru dealers like on lightly modify cars (full decat) as trade ins?

Do they stay well clear of them or will except if put back to standard?

I have just taken a properly modded pug 106 quicksilver in (ie bodykitted, morettes, angel eyes, splitter, exhaust) It looked the bollox. Had youngsters queuing up to buy it.

Although, i have just turned away a car i agreed to buy as the bodykit looked like it was fitted by stevie wonder.

So, i guess its how the car looks overall and id probably only give an extra £250 for the car with body mods.

 

No probs when put back to standard.

Dont think simple mods would be a problem, if done properly i.e. suspension, brakes, backbox.

If your car is worth 10K book and you have 5K worth of mods you will NOT get this money back

Most dealers are like this(they WILL sell it for extra because of the mods!!

Best get a private sale if poss

Most subaru dealers prefer a standard exhaust. i have been asked to put mine back to standard if possible.

 

Why not put it back to standard...a 2nd hand Scoobysport b/b would fetch a couple of hundred and a full decat system quite a bit more.

Even if you haven't got the original exhaust, somebody is bound to sell you the complete system for about 5p.
