Silly Question..
How many of you care what under your bonnet looks like.. Ive seen a few cars in my time and have to say most have looked a ****.
A few tidy cars I have seen.. (under the bonnet)
P20SPD & John Felstead.
Is it just me but, I cant stand seeing wires just trailing across under the bonnet.. cant stand silly boost hoses T'd all over the place..
My car looked a **** for totb.. and I have removed all offending wiring and pipework and am in no rush to put it back until im happy..
Ive got to:
mount the ign coil..
Mount the MSD ignition (was in the car but its noisy) - Put it where?
Sort Water Injection.
Tidy Some wiring up..
Tidy some hosing up.
Am I being really picky or do odd coloured cable ties (without the ends snipped) really **** others off, or is it a case as long as it works then its fine??
Oh and apollogies to p20spd, as anytime he opens his bonnet I normally criticise something.. then again hopefully he will do the same with mine
Your thoughts?
David

depends if there's anything worth looking at under the hood. If a car's been heavily modded, then people will want to have a noset around the engine bay and it makes sense for it too look it's best.
I've cleaned mine once in 4.5yrs

Just to add that any installs should be tidy at least. I hate cable ties myself and I was **** enough to run all my wires and boost pipe inside of some flexible tubing. I even ran all my ground mod cables inside tubing rather than cable tieing it all

It has to be function over form in my book.i.e. if it is something that works but looks like a turd it's fine.
Can stand tarted engine bays, whereby they have replaced something plastic with a heavier cromed piece..

Have a job making the engine bay of a scoob like tidy I think. Must be one of the worst engine bays I have seen in comparison to a cossy or evo!
Thats other than for Marks @ Lateral performance. That is what you call an impressive engine bay!!

No need to apologise, i usually tell you if i dont like something, and you know i am not happy about mine, especially the WI and FMIC pipework.
Yours was rushed for TOTB2, hence the mess, and pats special brown wire
, which i told you i did not like
Looks come last, as thats the last thing i did on mine

You sticky tart you Sticky
Currently mine is a complete mess...
I painted the rusty alternator, air con compressor cover and the top of the peeling paint radiator in black..
Might get a clean one day.. currently 130000miles (of which I have done 54000miles) in 2years and I have never cleaned it
Intend tidying some wiring and boost pipes soon too.
