J Pokery.

Powerstation started the anti bumpsteer mod from their own research. I dont know if anyone else will do the the mod. It is done while you wait.

Question

Glyn Morris ? had a letter published in Evo this month saying that he has a P1 and, after being frustrated with the prevailing understeer at Brands Hatch,he spoke to some senior engineers at Prodrive and was given a simple tip which has utterly transformed his car. He didn't want to publish the tip to save subaru's blushes.

Anyone know this bloke? Does he post on here? What was the wonder tip? ( bumpsteer?fit a dccd?...)Did he get through to Mycroft by mistake and now has a hairclip inserted in the cigarette lighter? We deserve to know.

Does anybody on here know any "senior engineers" at Prodrive?

If so give 'em a call and find out.

Mike Wood lurks on here & Simon seems to have pretty good contact with Damian Harty (where's the ATD??)-I'm sure they would be some of the engineers consulted if this bloke really did get through..

Brun, don't do their work for them

Or maybe you can disconnect the AWD system and just run off the rear wheels, understeer solved

Bumpsteer mod plus full suspension setup is £120+VAT. Don't know where the £200 came from. You save that in the reduction in front tyre wear.

I have a Type R so wasn't so bad in first place, had geometry done - vast all round improvement.

Then had bumpsteer done at Powerstation - again another leap forward in turn-in response, still yet to test it out on the track though. Car is much more balanced on the road.

Thanks.

Not the solid anti roll bar links, I've got those already, still understeers. Maybe as part of a package with the "Mutant Matt" set up + anti lift kit, thicker rear ARB and most important of all, bumpsteer ( which is nothing like £200, just £147 including vat ). Will be getting bumpsteer done next time I head to the west Country.

JB front arb? Maybe, but it seems a bit drastic, although it would fit perfectly with a few quids labour quote.

Edcase, No news from Damian or Mike Wood or any other"unnamed senior engineers" then?
