Ok so i have an intel anypoint dls modem connected to my pc but want to be able to roam my house with the laptop! What do i need, and where should i get the bits from??

I dont want the p.c on all the time, just the laptop!

then you need to ditch the intel adsl modem and go for a wireless adsl modem. have a look at www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk, www.ebuyer.co.uk and www.seg.co.uk.

 

I'd recommend the D-Link AirPlus set up.
I have a D-Link wireless modem/router and a D-Link Airplus PCMIA (sp?) card for the laptop. Kwolity gear and I can surf in the garden on a nice day !
