Hi

Any TV experts out there?

Bought a new 28" Philips TV and when I switch it on after its been off for a while it emits a very high pitched tone (fairly quiet & barely audible, but damn annoying) for the first 5-10 mins.

Before I return it for a refund, I wanted to know if this was normal - i.e. do they (new tv's) all do this during the tube warming up?

Anyone offer an expert opinion?

thanks

Neil

I have a 29" Philips TV, and parents have sworn by the make for years.
I've never known them to do this in my experience.

Im no expert, but my parents brought a TV that emitted a high pitch sound, and it was replaced, and there was something wrong with some coil or something inside!
