Intresing..............Most imports are immaculate underneath so if its not been through an english winter get it undersealed right away there climate is very dry and dust is only problem no piles of damp crusty crap under them unless they were used off road.

Ive had jeeps that you could read chassis stickers on that were 10 years old its hit and miss i once took side skirts off an STI and it had half a japanese beach in there unfortunatley the seas the same everywhere........ salty!!!!!!!
That chassis was furry and rusty so its about where car came from in japan if its tokyo area clean as.... if its near sea could be furry!!!!!

ive never seen 1 car that was worse then an english car however they do have the strangest car washes in the world in Japan!!

mine was just really, really dusty

wheels off, under neath with a small amount of TFR and wash and wax and the wheel arches are gleaming

engine bay was easy as well, quick covering with TFR and wash off, sorted

Id be concerned if it did have underseal. The best way to hide a nice weld through the middle of a car is to underseal over it.

Micky ive two wrx sat outside and neither had any underseal.......?
but im not gonna bash u up like others on HOW DID YOU LOT MISS THIS lol in fact PMSL its like an addiction that thread

but ive had seven sccobs through my hands this year only one undersealed was a UK one they dont really do it Japan very few cars built to stay in Japan soon as they can send em out of country they do.....Allows me to travel and enjoy Japan as well as looking at about 20,000 cars in a week at auction (not all scoobs bumma)

ADP there would be a waxy film or a slimy feel to most underseal or the coloured rock hard ones you get which you can see have been sprayed on...but generally imports dont have anything except factory waxes on the underside and that washes off with TFR! hope you resealed yours mickey!!

Long live Mickeys roll cage!

Ok thanks guys.

So the assumption is that it probably wont be undersealed (its an Evo 6 actually) and so do most people just not bother???

thanks

When I picked my WRX up from the docks I had already ordered the underseal to do the car with.

Got the car up on a ramp and the undersides were already undersealed, the body cavities all had waxoyl type stuff on them.

I bought my grey, expecting no underseal and sure enough it was gleaming.
I got the supplier to spray on proper stuff and fill any cavaties for an extra £100.
I dunno why detractors of greys always harp on about greys having no underseal as its so easy to resolve at minor expense.

hmmm
mines got under seal, like proper rubbery coating under the wheel arches and stuff

maybe its to do with where they were originaly from in japan?
the 1st thing i did was check for sum under seal, i must admit i never took that much notice of the actualy floor last time i was under (last weekend) ill have to have another look

do your cars that wernt under sealed have the rubbery underseal type coating under the arches?
