hi everyone,
a friend of mine has a 2002 1.6 model impreza and he wants to put a WRX turbo bonet and a WRX rear spoiler on it. Does anyone know will this fit on the 1.6 TS model??

cant see why not as long as u have the rightheadlights /etc etc to match up with the bonnet

Why?
Can it really be worth it? Their insurance is likely to shoot up as the car will instantly be so much more desirable by thieves.

Why would they want to do this. Their car may look better but it would go even slower with all the extra drag . With a car as new as theirs they'd be better off selling it and getting a second hand turbo, then they'd have the real thing.

I guess the whole reson for the 1.6 was insurance. Not much point in trading your 1.6 for a turbo if its going to cost you 5K to insure it .

fitting a bonnet and a rear spoiler is not going to cost the same as insuring the real thing imo

Well he has the 1.6 cause his insurance on this affordabls at 1500 euro. On the WRX the cheapest quote he got was 6000, after a few years of paying that he could nearly buy himself a new WRX.!!!! The insurance in Ireland is a joke.
