well at least i think thats where it came from!!

 

From what I can gather its rhyming slang for Subaru - Scooby-doo

 

you can also expand it to when people ask daft questions you say " I haven't got a scooby doo" or I haven't got a tube of glue, (clue) think i will shut up now!!

Plate, difficult one. Technically, it's illegal, and thus if you find the wrong copper on a bad day, you could be pulled for it. However, as long as the character font and spacing is kosher, with a bit of luck it won't attract too much attention...
