Ok I will start this thread by saying I am not mechanically minded!

Right - I've gone and bought a 2 year old HKS hyper mid and rear exhaust off a nice chap with a MY00 (same reg year as mine)

Now his was fitted on a Magnex downpipe. I have a completely standard system on mine and would prefer to fit the mid and rear to the standard downpipe (due to cash flow)

I've looked under the car and it appears the gasket on the base of the downpipe is one of those metal O rings. The HKS has a flat mounting plate on the mid pipe. Am I right in thinking I will need a flat 'paper' gasket to replace this one? and will I also need another for the mid to back box? Where can I get one?

Are there any other issues I need to look at before trying this?

Thanks people!!!

I had to do this for my MOT, you need the HKS gaskets, which are flat as you say. They are metal covered gaskets, try any HKS dealer.
