Question

Am going to part with some cash on saturday for a new exhaust system.

Just don;t know where to spend it or on what!!!

Have a '00 Sport with full standard set up on it

Am considering afterburner or a trip to TSL for a Firestorm.

Any response on the differences or any other ideas???

Many thanks

KEV

Hi Andy.
I put a firestorm on my wagon about 3 weeks ago.

It's pretty loud compared to the Magnex i had, very boomy inside the cabin. I've still got both cats and standard centre.

I'm planning on getting some sound insulation for the boot floor.

But...does look and sound great though.

Put a Firestorm on my STI 7 PPP today.
Kept the centre as standard.
Very boomy in car and not actually that loud outside I dont think.
If changing the centre doesnt make it noisier inside the car than it already is will probably change that soon.
Not that loud from outside I dont think.
Thanks to Paul at TSL for today.

After a chat with the guys at TSL this morning I decided to part with the hard earned on a group N rear box instead as there seems to be many mixed feelings towards noise on the firestorm, i could see the mrs having a moan about turning up at agility club and freaking the horses out in the adjoining stables!! still i feel it to be a very good buy and will have no worries now about going full de cat!

lol. If you think the firestorm is loud, you will probably cry with a full decat with Blitz! Its louder

Enjoy your new exhaust though

Just fitted my new TSl group N rear box and K&N induction kit, exhaust is lovely and smooth sounding with a gorgeous flat four rumble, but i cannot believe the noise from the induction kit especially the whoosh when i let the gas off, still grinning loudly!! many thanks to the guys at tsl for their advice and super fast service
