Just rung up a Subaru dealership and they wouldnt sell me a gasket because my car was an import. I thought they had stopped all that $hit a while ago ??

Are all dealerships like that, or did i just pick the wrong one ?

A lot of dealerships won't supply parts for JDM cars, there are some out there that do.
If you had a parallel import then you wouldn't have a problem.

How pathetic can you get it is only a gasket FFS, why does he need to know it is for a JDM.

 

Wurzel and I have perhaps the coolest dealer out there... He just points us in the direction of the workshop and from there we have full use of ALL the special tools, documents, parts etc etc.. Plus whenever we do anything with the car we are charged just for parts! Hard to find that anywhere IMHO.

 

Which gasket do you want? You can get them from plenty of other places...

 

Perhaps it would be an idea to name these stroppy dealers on this site. That way, the rest of us could avoid them too.

I the end i found a nice friendly dealer, i needed it before the morning so couldnt wait for mail order.
