Got into work this morning and didn't notice, but one of my collegues let me know that when I got into work this morning, there were 2 blokes in there mid to late 20's eyeing up my car, looking at their watches several times, pointing at it before they drove off in an oldish sierra cossie!
The area I work in is fairly busy and generally a good area, just can't help worrying about it.
Am I overly worrying?

Probably saying the following to one another:
"See, if you got one these we would have been here ages ago" [stops to point at watch]
Seriously though
If you're worried move it to a different parking spot

Last night I heard and saw a white R reg wrx driving around my area then my brother saw it slowly pass my house at around 1 am
In the morning I discoved some one had tried to steal my WRX.
The ignition barrel has been smashed.
But the idiots could not take the car.
I am pretty sure it was the guy with the white WRX who tried to steal my car
So he will be dealt with.
As for replacing the Ignition barrel who can do it, and will I need a new key???
Thanks for help

No you are not. Vary your route to work and the times that you travel. I have 4 or 5 different routes available to me. It also helps when there are problems on the road!
It is sad that you have to be like this, but it is a sensible precaution. You should always be aware of what is around you and how to get out of a situation. Working in Slough has made me VERY aware.

What colour is your scoob? Maybe they thought it was mine (green) and were looking for revenge
..
If you see 'em again get their plate and descriptions. Could have been something perfectly innocent though I suppose.

i am quite lucky in that i do mad rotating shifts, which means i never know myself when the things gonna be parked up on a nite time, most of the time when its dark its parked in a very secure car park at work with lots of security blokes and cameras, and u cant get in unless u have a pass
which is nice

I work on a very rough housing estate, have nowhere safe to park my car, and have even had veiled threats from the local yobs (cant retalliate cause I am a Housing manager there). There is no way they could nick my car, but they could damage it.
Nowt has happened yet, and touch wood it wont, but either way, there is nowt I can do till it happens, and probably not much then, so best not to worry about it

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the responses, I was a little worried that these guys might have been scoping it out. But then again there's alot of visitors to the building I would in and I've seen people before having a look as they walk past which has not been a problem.
It was that I didn't see how much attention they were paying to the car as I heard about it from my work colluege.
Have now done that, Luckily right outside is my local sparshatts garage, with the servicing bays in front of my work, Spoke to they guys as I know some of them and they've let me park the car right opposite them, As they are out there all day it is always in plain view! So thats a little more comforting.
I'll drop you a mail soon. It was probably just innocent, but can never be too careful. I would rather be making a fuss over nothing than have my car nicked
Where is the meet on the 14th? and what time?
Um, Green!
But this sierra cossie was white.
Anyway guys. Thanks for the advise. I have several routes I can take to work, all of them busy thou, heh. I'll get my mate to sit in the car all day with his airsoft gun, which just happens to look exactally like an MP5, that'll make em think twice

Cheers

Move parking spaces, vary ur route to and from work, or better still use a 2nd car if available.
U never know who's watching untill its to late..
