Question

Is the WRX pipe 2inch or 2.5inch and what is the bore

I'm marrying it up to a 3inch down pipe and 2.5inch back box (Afterburner) to be fitted next week - just wondering whether I should go for the afterburner decat centre setcion instead (the wrx is decatted with a resonator).

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

The standard one is 2.25" internal diameter. An after burner is 2.5" ID and your downpipe will probably taper to 2.5" ID at the end.

If your downpipe doesn't taper, the step will cause some serious flow problems with a smaller diameter centre section.

Thanks for the quick reply Pete

Its a T75 twin dump down pipe with 2 & 5/8 diam where it joins the centre section, PE have since conf'd it won't cause any flow problems.

The next question I suppose is do resonators restrict the flow at all & if so to what extent
